How to download your 23andme Data

We need the raw data file from 23andme in order for us to extract the DNA SNP’s we require. If you do not know how to get this file please follow the instructions below. They are long and convoluted and unfortunately it is the way that 23andme want you to access your own raw data file.

You will then receive and email from them with a button for you to download the file. Please download it and then forward the file to us via email.

The steps to get there are as follows;

Step 1: Click on your name

Step 2: Then click on the Browse Raw Data menu item

Step 3: click on the Download menu item

Step 4: click on the Submit Request button.

Step 5: This will take you to a message screen

Check your email. You will receive an email from 23andme with a link in it allowing you to now download the raw data file. Once you have that file in .zip format please follow this link to upload the file
